If you didn’t know it already, I’m an ice cream gal born n’ bred. I’m not exaggerating when I say I probably have it daily, cos’ ice cream is life - am I right?
As you can imagine though, my obsession with sub zero dairy could easily lead to a few extra zeros on my waistline. As you’ve probably seen I’ve talked a lot about Oppo Ice Cream recently, it’s only 37 calories a scoop and got a brill balance of carbs, fat and protein per portion. So you can imagine my excitement when Oppo noticed my fandom and sent me a few tubs! Over the next few weeks I’m going to be giving you the scoop with a few healthy recipes that I’ve tried, tested and and devoured, without demolishing my calorie count.
First up, Salted Caramel Coffee Fr-oppo-ccino. A healthy twist on one of my summer faves that’s super easy to make at home, simply blend it up and stick a straw in it. I’ve drizzled the deets for you below:
3 Cups of Ice
3 Scoops Oppo Salted Caramel Ice Cream
1 Cup Brewed Coffee (I used the Nespresso Vertuo Caramel Capsule)
1 Drizzle of Sugar Free Caramel Syrup (optional)
Light Whipped Cream, Hazelnuts Chips & Sugar Free Caramel Drizzle (to serve)
Measure out your ingredients and place them all inside a blender. Whiz until you get a thick but smoothie like texture. If it goes too runny, add more ice or split the mix in half. Once you’re happy you’ve got a frapp-tastic texture, pour it out into a glass to serve.
I decided to top mine with light whipped cream, hazelnut chips and sugar free caramel drizzle to really send me into a cool caramel coma.
